Pleasant Ridge

The existing one-story house posed numerous accessibility challenges.  The first floor was several feet above the surrounding grade, the interior had inaccessible features including living areas accessed via narrow doors and hallways, and no accessible bathroom.  With the installation of a platform lift in the garage, the exterior access problem was solved.  The first floor was reconfigured by taking down walls to create a new larger kitchen open to the family room.  All of the bedroom doors were widened and an accessible bathroom was created.  The bathroom features a roll-under sink, accessible commode, and roll-in shower.
